Sourcing items from currencies that people are not bothered to farm e.g GC Seals - Coke. Just keep updating prices and checking back on the periodic basis, Rinse and Repeat and you'll be a gillionaire in no time )ġ. For the ease of method use the Unspoiled Nodes i gave, get stacks of 99 at sell them on the marketboard via you're retainer.Īnd whammo, you've got some gil. There's a bit of a payoff, you'll likely get the jist as you progress. I didn't give all the times on these, because a large part of the experience is finding the information on your own. Palladium/Chromite/Silvergrace/Nightsteel Ores are epic for making gil. I can't say that there was much luck until unlocking the legendary nodes.but If you do get those unlocked. Titanium ore (Dravanian Forelands) and Hardsilver Ore (Dravanian Hinterlands).Ħ0-70 - Nothing really much apart from Raw Triphane (The Fringes at 2.00am/pm E.T.). Another high value ore to be absolutely gathering is Darksteel ore (Camp Dragonhead at 1.00am each eorzean day)ĥ0-60 - What you're looking for in this tier is Mythrite Ores/sands (Coerthas Western Highlands), mainly because blacksmiths need a lot of sand to make the ingots (those sell really well too). (you get 6 per day automatically).Ĥ0-50 - This is where you start to find stuff that sells more consistently and regularly - Electrum ore (Camp Outlook - Outer La Noscea) and Cobalt Ore (Northern Thanalan). Lvl 1-30 - You aren't going to get much luck on sales here until you can gather mythril ore (Southern Thanalan) at least, that's because you can buy the lion's share of ores/mats upto that level, save for HQ ones. So it falls to gathering classes to generate the items. Moving on.Įach 5 levels or so will give you access and information to better gathering points (nodes), while it can seem a bit arduous, it's not so bad if you think of the task objectively. Easy enough to do, but needs a bit more patience.

You may want to level blacksmith though, just for making ingots etc, but that's optional. Higher your gathering/perception rating, better it will be. Mining is a good starting point with this.ĭifferent ore's can be gathered as you progress. Go gatherer for the more consistent gil gains. Originally posted by Le Grande Fromage (aka Cheez):
